Cookie Policy

Understanding how we use cookies to improve your experience.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners. Similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage serve comparable purposes within your browser.

This Cookie Policy explains how Asociația Radical Football (CIF: 53433927) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They enable core functionality such as user authentication and security.

  • Supabase authentication cookies (sb-*) - used to manage your login session and keep you authenticated as you navigate the site. These are set automatically when you sign in and are required for all authenticated features.
  • locale - stores your language preference (Romanian or English). Duration: 1 year.
  • auth_return_url - temporarily stores the page you were visiting before logging in so you can be redirected back after authentication. Duration: 5 minutes. Automatically deleted after use.
  • CSRF token (sessionStorage) - a security token used to protect against cross-site request forgery attacks. Cleared when you close the browser tab.

Because these cookies are essential for the website to operate, they cannot be refused or disabled without significantly impacting your ability to use the site.

Functionality Cookies

These technologies use your browser's localStorage to enhance functionality and prevent abuse. They do not track you across websites.

  • rf_viewed_items (localStorage) - keeps track of which forum posts and library resources you have already viewed, so that repeated visits do not inflate view counts.
  • auth_rate_limit (localStorage) - prevents excessive login attempts by tracking recent authentication requests.
  • password_reset_rate_limit (localStorage) - prevents abuse of the password reset feature by limiting request frequency.
  • rf_message_timestamps (localStorage) - limits how frequently messages can be sent to prevent spam.

Third-Party Cookies

We integrate with the following third-party services, which may set their own cookies on your device. We do not control these cookies - they are governed by each provider's own privacy policy.

Google reCAPTCHA v3

Used for spam protection on login, signup, password reset, forum posts, and library uploads. reCAPTCHA analyzes your interaction with the site to determine whether you are a human or a bot, and may set cookies such as _GRECAPTCHA.

Google Privacy Policy

Google Maps

Embedded on the community page to display an interactive map of clubs and members. Google Maps may set its own cookies when the map loads.

Google Privacy Policy

Stripe

Used for payment processing when purchasing conference tickets or making donations. Stripe may set cookies such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid for fraud prevention and to process payments securely.

Stripe Privacy Policy

YouTube

Embedded videos from YouTube may appear on certain pages. When a video loads, YouTube may set cookies to track playback preferences and usage statistics.

How to Control Cookies

Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can view, delete, block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or clear cookies when you close your browser.

Impact of Blocking Cookies

Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may impact your experience on our website:

  • You will not be able to log in or maintain a session
  • Your language preference will not be saved
  • Features protected by reCAPTCHA (login, signup, posting) may not work
  • Payment processing via Stripe may be affected
  • Embedded maps and videos may not load

Essential cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled without losing access to core features.

Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals.

Our website does not use any first-party analytics or advertising tracking. The third-party services we integrate (reCAPTCHA, Google Maps, Stripe, YouTube) have their own policies regarding DNT signals.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, legal requirements, or our practices. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
